Give birth to a just, liberated and sustainable world.
We are bringing organizers, movement workers, community members, midwives, and healers together to dismantle oppression and give birth to a radically reimagined future, a liberated now, and future generations born into abundance.
Imagine a place…
Where our next generation is born.
Where our housing, economic and racial justice organizations come together to amplify each others’ critical work.
Where our community grows food together and meals are shared.
Where our people can be their whole selves and a part of the whole.

Center for Economic Democracy
The Center for Economic Democracy (CED), advances visions and practices for a just and sustainable world after capitalism. Economic democracy is people and communities owning and deciding together how to manage our collective needs, from housing and food to energy and economic development.
-
Matahari Women Workers' Center
Matahari is a grassroots organization working to end the exploitation of women and femme workers. We have grown into the largest non-union community organization representing women workers in the domestic and service industries in Massachusetts.
-
Movement Sustainability Commons
The Movement Sustainability Commons (MSC) nourishes and sustains people and groups working for justice, economic democracy and liberation. MSC offers affordable, high quality services, practices, spaces and pathways that support both interdependence and self-reliance for community self-determination.

Neighborhood Birth Center
The Neighborhood Birth Center seeks to offer comprehensive midwifery care throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period by integrating a community birth center in Bostonʼs healthcare and community landscape.
-
Resist
Resist is a foundation that supports people's movements for justice and liberation across the United States. Resist redistributes resources back to frontline communities at the forefront of change while amplifying their stories of building a better world.
-
Sisters Unchained
Sisters Unchained addresses parental incarceration and the violence of family separation by breaking the isolation between young women with incarcerated parents. We build community and power by focusing on radical education, alternative forms of healing, organizing, and art. In doing so, we create a community of radical love and sisterhood to support each other along our paths towards healing and justice.

The Space will be an urban sanctuary open to all to gather and heal. It will be anchored by Neighborhood Birth Center, Bostonʼs first community birth center.
